You know, I dreaded opening this thread, fearing it to be a bot infested one.

Yeah, ditto. Redigit sure is taking his sweet time on it -_-
I am convinced that he's a shrew tease though, and that quitting thing was partially an act.
At any rate, I seriously can't imagine him going through those 60+ pages of NPC ideas. But I'm warming up my writing skills to present mine regardless :P

Honestly I think he was just like. "You guys go on ahead, ill polish up what we started and catch up with you guys later." so the quitting thing was just a way to make the "polish, shine brighter"

As for the NPC contest. I have no clue what to enter, but im sure ill think of something in time.

Good luck.

I don't really care, I just entered because I wanted a massive ego boost in case of winning (My word, am I petty or what?)

Though I seriously doubt he's going to read anything past 5 pages or so. Doubly so, since 90% of the entries are either blatant Mary Sue self-inserts, balance breaking, trolling or just plain ol' retarded. Not saying that my entry has some deep thought put into it, but seriously, they're not even trying.

You are advertising another indie game on this website forum, and as such if its okay for you guys to post things on MinMax's forums about Terraria, then it should be fine for MinMax to post things on Terraria's forums, right? If not, then don't post things about Terraria here :)

This section is for games other then SPAZ. 90% of the board index is for stuff for SPAZ. This part isn't. So I can post about other games here. As for the whole "You are advertising..." I just asked if anyone else was excited as me, because it was thought to be unsupported as stated by their developers.

I don't care in the slightest bit what is posted here, as long as it's clean. Go right ahead and babble about any game you wish. My point is there is likely no mention of SPAZ on the Terraria site at all, given the huge gulf between gameplay. Usually it's other space games being mentioned here. It would be more beneficial for us to be mentioned on their site, since his game out sold us by an astronomical factor. I'm sure this thread isn't going to further his campaign in any way really, but again ... it's not a problem, hence the winky face emote following my post.

Terraria is a great game and we can only hope to be as successful.

I believe in you! If I could some how get their damn Security Captcha to work properly. I would register and post on their site in a heart beat about SPAZ!

Don't get let down. The 2 of you did an amazing job. Have some cookies!

Hehe, we're not down at all. We don't expect to topple giants with SPAZ, though that would be awesome.

The truth is we did better than we expected, so I won't dare tempt the universe to transmute against me by complaining ;)

Don't worry, I think the universe has more issues at the moment. Fair warning. Big A$$ picture ahead.

The open ended sandbox genre is pretty much the thing for the last few years, and a lot of people are actually waiting for Notch to make "minecraft in space" (which is probably just a rumor, but there is still a lot of interest in it). If SPAZ was a "sandbox space game" it would have sold better.

Then I'm afraid they'll end up like this:

0x10c got cancelled because Notch is an incompetent troll. The guy just doesn't have a game in him, so I'm glad his popularity is slowly starting to wane.

Pardon the vitriol, but you just have no idea how much I hate that guy.

On a lighter note... Maybe you guys could try asking to get featured by a larger space game? Although I can't think of anything specific for the moment (Still, writing to Redigit/whoever runs the Terraria page doesn't seem like such a bad idea considering what they did with Edge of Space)

That looks like the kind of game that I'd have to work forever to buy a PC for.

First person to reply to this asking for Terraria gets a copy of Terraria if they don't have one.

I'd rather get keys for all those fracking dungeon chests that 1.2 added :P

The new ones? There seems to be a key for each Biome. There was also talk of all sorts of new bosses, so I assume you get a new Boss in each Biome.

I started a new dude, on a new world. I just got to Hardmode because I spent so much time painstakingly building an awesome house.

Feel free to visit, I'll set up port forwarding sometime and give out my IP.

I just dived straight in with my main char, guns blazing. However, seeing the full scope of this update, and how many low level things were added, I'm starting to regret it a bit. Still, nothing is stopping me from having a parallel playthrough with a fresh char (In fact, I already started a large world for it, just didn't have the time to start it yet).

I do know for a fact that I will have to remake my primary warehouse world. Not something I'm looking forward to ;_;

I'd be delighted to, although considering I'm either asleep or at work most of the time, I won't be able to visit often ;)

Well. It turns out being at University complicates things since I won't be able to set up Port Forwarding at the Router because, well, I don't have access to it.

Also, has anyone read "The Long Earth" by Pratchett/Baxter? I ask because this.

Tha'ts why you take C++/asm class at uni and then hack the router(if its wireless you can crack its wireless access in 3 days and get admin next time they login to it.)... or just get a clear wire spot(you can still get them). They are recently owned by stupid shitty sprint but, you can get service through them now for same price of $34 although... shitty sprint has data cap of 3gb at that price. Clear wire was truly unlimited.
