 Post subject: Could the opportunity cost for Arenas use some tuning?

Entered early access at 0.9.9 and I now have about 45 hours played.
As a newbie power gamer there's one thing that's itching me and it's how the arenas just *happen" without any time passing.
Entering a battle, there's a delay and time pass. Invading a base or pirate lair, delays. Picking up a ressource, deliveries, far wingmans joining up, etc... same deal. Every decision matter in term of time passing... but with arenas, there doesn't seem to be any downside to doing them. Which to me seem a bit out of whack, balance wise, with the rest of the game. This make fighting arenas feel kind of forced to me, as if not doing them is playing the game wrong. Whatcha think?
