ImageSpace Fish: 1st RevisionImage

Greetings Fellow SPAZ Enthusiasts,

The first revision of Space Fish is accessible above. There is a short list of changes included within the mod below.

Changes, in no particular order: | Click to toggle: +
For the most part, I have left the gameplay alone.

The most obvious change: I've replaced a lot of graphics: character portraits, GUI elements, a few ships.
I haven't gotten them all yet, and there are some that aren't replaceable, either. (some of the buttons aren't cooperative.)

galaxy star level cap is now 90, rather than 70.

galaxy's star limit low end has been reduced to 100 stars.

revised colormaps for different tiers of equipment:
t1: green
t2: yellow
t3: orange
t4: red
t5: purple(new, presently only two test weapons- need 4 blueprints.)
boosters: blue

4 hangars, higher goon and rez caps.

7 new ships:
1 small, 2 medium, 2 large assault craft;
1 medium, 1 large mining craft.

Ah, and I used Stonechimes' excellent piece of code to get all those new ships to spawn naturally. Many thanks.

I hope that you enjoy the mess that I have made of a perfectly enjoyable game, and I look forward to your thoughtful critique.

rev 1 released 032513

Wow, someone's actually beginning a new mod? Excellent!

The only problems I remember us having at any time is with inaccessible links due to a mediafire policy that prevented direct links, which however could be circumvented easily by clicking in the URL bar and pressing Enter, causing the page to load properly.

Haha, oh lol  I love how grotesque these portraits are. Gives me that Dagon in Spaaace vibe.

Use dropbox, it's much more reliable than Mediafire, and it's easier to maintain.

Actually. If you manage to zip (or rar) it to a smaller size then 3MB (IIRC) per part, you can also add it here as an attachment.

You also have 3 attachments per post AND can change/update attachments if you update your mod.
(I actually do this with Big Beef)
An added bonus. Using attachments allow you to keep in check on how often your mod(version) is actually downloaded.

Seeing you got the first 2 posts of your thread, I would suggest to rar it up in roughly 6 equal pieces (or 3 if it's small enough) and use the attachment space of those posts.

And one more thing.
Good luck on your mod.

Seeing as this mod is lots of images, I've decided to use dropbox, rather than slice the mod up and attach various files. ...Maybe I'm lazy.

That being said- check out that first post; there is a live link.

Enjoy!

As I installed this mod, was testing the two new weapons ... something weird happens...

The shields on the zombie ships are charging to its maximum cO
Dunno if its the beam or the cannon which charges them.
