Please note: The mod tools are very powerful and you are using them at your own risk. We will soon create a system of verifying mod content as being safe with the community's support, but for now, just be careful.

From this point on, it should be noted that mods should only be distributed with .cs files and not .cs.dso files. This allows people to inspect the mod content for any negative script, and also allows you all to learn from each other's ideas.

MODS CAN BE DANGEROUS. ONLY INSTALL ONES FROM TRUSTED SOURCES.

A mod appearing on this board is in no way an endorsement of that mod. We will however find a way to test them out soon.

No negative content has been found yet, this is just a preemptive message to make sure people understand the risks of running other people's code on their computers.

Ah I see. You are worried someone will enter some malicious code into a file turning it into a virus, so that when it runs, it effs up someone's machine. Or are you worried that because some people only release the cs.dso files means that they don't want to contribute. Personally if someone wants to use my files, they can, but citing a source is always nice.

I second this, You should release the code for the mod you work on freely, and if anyone wants to build on it, let them do so as long as they credit the author of the mod.

And I used to think reading script was a bland affair. Apparently not here.
