Battlestar Galactica Mod

Introduction:
I read somewhere that the creators of SPAZ was inspired by Battlestar Galactica and other series when they made the weapons and ships ingame. So here's my take on a Battleship Galactica Mod.

Progress:

Gonna focus on Colonial Ships for now.

Colonial Viper [Done]
Colonial Raptor [Done]
Searcher-Class Frigate [Planed]
Guardian-Class Frigate [Planed]
Valkyrie-Class Missile Frigate [Done]
Majahual-Class Mineral Ship [Planed]
Aegaeon-Class Destroyer [Planed]
Tiger-Class Destroyer [Planed]
Berzerk-Class Battlestar [Planed]
Galactica-Class Battlestar (Galactica) [Done]
Mercury-Class Battlestar (Pegasus) [Done]

Will make ingame art (ships) of these. But not planed to code:
Colonial One


Known Issues:
Turrets are to big on most ships (gonna remake the turret graphics)
Battlestar Pegasus and the Valkyrie Missile Frigate has no zombie Graphics (uses UTA Graphics instead. SSDD, Just blow it up)

Future plans for mods by HSFOutcast:
Seeing as SPAZ is topdown i'm figuring out that you might be able to do a modern age naval mod (water instead of space backgrounds)
Mods i'd also like to do is a Homeworld Series Mod. Might do that when i'm done with the BSG mod.

I've only made these two ships as of now, diden't take me to long to do.

I also made a SR2 Normandy from Mass Effect from a pic i found on the net. tho i do not like to use overhead pictures as they tend to get a to realistic look compared to SPAZ. Other then that the only thing i have done is a Terran Battlecruiser from Starcraft 2 shoped with parts from SPAZ. I scratched that project as the battlecruiser used up more then 30 points for engines and weapons, it was a beast and abit to OP to be used ingame in an effective way.

Heres the shoped Battlecruiser in Pirate colors, also got it in UTA, CIV, Zombie, ICON and Shields.

My variant was planed to have:

1x 3 barrel turret
1x 2 barrel turret
8x 1 barrel turret
4x Missile Pods
1x Huge Forward Shooter (Yomato)
4x Large Forward Shooter
2x Large Utilty
4x Medium Utility

If anybody wants the Battlecruiser pics i can give em to you as long as i get credit for it.

What i can do with the raptor and vipers would be to make them drones, this way they will be uncontrollable but launched from carrier based platforms, that way the player would only control corvette type ships and up.

as i said before, i made the raptors steel white instead to better match the vipers. if to many diehard fans got anything against this maybe i'll recolor it. =)

I can't wait to see how this develops :)

Don't forget that you can change the mount and turret art to keep things in theme. Turrets can even be pretty crazy, if you look at the zombie turrets.

Gonna remake the turrets too :), and thanks for the reply!

Heres Galactica, Side by side with the clockwork. Anybody knows if i can resize the blueprint image in the hangar so i can get to all the mounts, or do i need to resize the Galactica?

Also, Galactica (as with the raptor/viper) comes in all colors except bounty hunter. (Green for civ, red for UTA, Blue for pirate and purple for zombie.)

Yeah, gonna try to do so without making it look wierd.

ARGH! Was about 80% complete with Battlestar Pegasus when Photoshop figured it would crash on me. Continue tomorrow.

EDIT:

I also plan to NOT add ships like Colonial One and other ships without any weapons to defend themself, However i do plan to add a few civilian ships and add some turrets or other defenses to it.

Hey man ive been using the mod like all day, and it is epic sauce, but um you should make a tweak in the weapons between the two huge ships that you have out... >.< other then that, epic work and cant wait for the other ships.

I want say thx to creator of mod. It's awesome.
But i found some bug - in zombie war(clockwert 3) all hangars size has been set to tiny.
And i can't found blueprint for this two huge ships. No where.

Just one thing to say, very nice work friend. I only have one thing to say.

Viper being way too big i mean, viper are fighters keep using them as fighter only not pilotable ships. For small/tiny pilotable ships better make new ships such as BSG frigates/destroyer ship to keep the immersion. That funny to see a big fighter/raptor flying alongside tiny raptor/viper. Beside that thats very nice man! I havent tried it yet but i think ill do it quite soon :D

Looks great but 2Shared is terrible for having a constant refresh whenever you click the download button for many people. Mediafire is an alternative but also has a refresh problem for a lot of people sometimes.
Best way to mirror for a download would be to use http://multiupload.biz/ and upload to all the sites you can, then nobody should have any problems downloading.

But how can i get the really Big Ships? I am at the Chapter with the First Contact of Zombies.
And i really have Problems with that xD
