After a couple of false starts and stupid errors, Nova Torpedoes are in and ready for testing in an alpha format.

Also, reduced the width of Goliath beams since they were a bit silly.

What I'd really like to do now is look into coding new ships. Alas, we seem to be suffering from a deficiency of ship artists right now.

Impressive mod. =D I like the little touches you stuck in here and there, omni-turrets and continuous beams are awesome. I love the work you did on the weapons, and shield systems. Deflectors are deliciously OP, a nice reward for sinking a ton of points into shields. Can't wait to see what you roll out next.

As Richard helpfully points out, there's a Ship Art Tips thread already, which was posted because I pm'd him for advice in the first place. ;)

Also, I'm sure he's very busy working on the port, plus the other new 'canon' ships, like the Gemini and Stork and whatnot.

I would take a poke at it myself, but I have terrible patience for these things. We probably need to pull more resources together too - textures, faction decals, greebly detail bitz, zombie bits, etc.

Perfect. A lot of the new, high-tier kit is intended to be just that. Just remember, they're still quite weak to ion weapons! They also don't really hold up very well under heavy beam/particle cannon fire... I guess quantity really does have a quality all to itself.

Judging by his usual post times I would say he lives in Europe too although, he says 6am and for me it shows 8am. I live in California so 2 hours forward says he lives in usa east coast.

You did good work with the weapons in this mod, what about a high RoF cannon, around tier 7 or 8, with the DPS of the particle cannon, bit more energy usage for balance, along with a nerf of the Particle Cannon. That thing's ridiculous for a tier 6 weapon. A mid-range damage beam would be great too.

Would it kill you people to read the notes I leave beside each concept? I'd think "cannon" would describe it accurately enough... but if it doesn't, imagine a very short-lived but relatively powerful beam. No need to hold it on the target, just *pop* and instant damage. Thanks, but, uh, try the Plasma Cannon with Boosters. I'm pretty sure that'll cover your needs there.

Mostly? I'm waiting on updates to the modding kit. Also, there's not a whole lot I can do by myself as I'm a (fairly low-level) 'coder'/tweaker, not an artist.

Most of my 'modding' time goes into the Warhammer 40K Cortex Command mod I maintain/update. Other than that I just haven't had much inspiration to keep working on SPAZ mods lately.

I wonder if anyone would be willing to take a bunch of the different mods (at least in terms of the ships/components) and throw them together? Fight for the universe mod has ships with ungodly amounts of turrets. And omni turrets are awesome.

I require assistance!!

Been running a combo of your mod and the quad turret, and for the most part I got them to play nice

until I tried to get your omni turrets to work with the quad turret mod...then things got weird.

It started saying that your plasma cannon was an invalid weapon which crashed the game soon as it began

so...I played with when research datablocks to make things availiable earlier and am attempting to start a brand new game

except NOW the Clockwork just blows up as soon as it appears on the screen and gives me a game over!!!

I have NO idea what's happening...HELP!!!!
