Hi, I know this is the SPAZ Q&A Forum, so the former subject is fine, but the latter doesn't quite fit, but please, bear with me.

I'd like to know as the topic title says, what the current status is for SPAZ and MinMax. Obviously the forums are working, and the fact that the Steam version features Trading Cards means it's still alive for the most part, but it seems pretty quite. Anyone care to elaborate?

- Gideon

Cheers Gideon! Yeah, it's been rather quiet, and that's because the community is a busy yet attentive one. We have one long-standing mod being worked on that many, many forum people are waiting for, and naturally Blorfy and Richard are working on SPAZ 2 (which is in the concept or even pre-concept stage)!

The only ones that really post regularly though are the bots. That's why there's me. And Richard, occasionally.

So yeah, most of us are busy a lot of the time, but from time to time most of us come back to look if anything has happened.

Like EvilNinja said, it's mostly silent here, but the devs are working and doing whatever it is game developers do when they make games. Naturally, we all want SPAZ2 right now, but at the same time there's no point nagging the poor guys for updates all the time.

Look at the bright side - They don't have to put up constant updates for a horde of rabid fans and try to convince the entire internet (And themselves) that "No, the game isn't vaporware!" (I am, of course, referring to what's going on with Starbound).

But seriously, SPAZ2 is going to happen, don't worry :)

See my last sentence, Balduranne! I had included you in the group of people who respond to things. By "people who post regularly" I meant posts independent of current forum activity.

I just deleted two more bot posts, too. /sigh

We are still alive :)

We've been taking advantage of the quiet time to work on SPAZ 2. We're still putting in full days on the game, so though it may seem dark from your perspective, SPAZ 2 is taking shape.

Again, if you have any suggestions for bot security measures I can add (that don't put handcuffs on our new users), let me know.

The beta is apparently coming before the year is out, and I haven't heard anything else that would make anyone think it vaporware. <.< >.>

Alright, thanks to everyone for the info, I appreciate it, as I was somewhat afraid that the studio had gone bankrupt or something. Thanks for the warm welcome. @Viroman, not quite sure what you mean by that, are you trying to say that I should PM the devs?

If you don't mind me asking, which mod is that? I love modding in games, and if it's that amazing as to be the main thing the community is focused on other than the sequel, it has to be pretty dang good.

Also, as a side note, what size should I limit my avatar to? Is what I've got too big?

Your avatar is fine. Way below the limit. I've got more of a problem with your habit of [s]double[/s] triple posting in a thread. Gives me OCD.

The mod in question is the Fight For Universe mod. You'll find it no problem, it's got the longest thread in Mod Listing.

Ah, I see. I saw that already, but thanks for the confirmation. And my apologies for triple posting, I don't normally do that. ^.^;

EDIT: Also, I noticed that you edited all three posts together into one. I didn't know Mods could do that. Interesting, and thank you.

Yeah, as a mod I delete or edit posts. I only do it when necessary and don't abuse my powers etc etc etc.

I took the liberty to merge your posts (and two of Richard's) for the sake of both clarity and propriety. :D

Another notable mod can be my own Big Beef mod.
I still have to do my stuff with the stations/beacons, but I simply didn't had the time and creativity to make those changes.
(My idea is to make a set of new beacons for the BB mod, which requires image editing)

Also the limit of only 30 linkpoints is kinda holding me back.

Anyway. Besides the stations/beacons and some final optimizations*, Big Beef is actually quite finished.
*Like the likeliness of a Rez Asteroid being present at the mothership hideout.

But. Welcome on board Gideon. :D
Hope you'll have a blast.
