These games are both very similar and very different to SPAZ. I'd suggest people check them out (the first is available for free, the second has a demo but is definitely worth the purchase).

Matter of fact, I was just talking on the forums about S.P.A.Z.

It's a great game, SPAZ could learn a lot from it. I kinda wish SPAZ went for the short, intense game, where the game isn't afraid to screw you over approach. SPAZ is still pretty awesome though :P

Spaz and weird worlds are two very different birds. I was a tester for digatial eel and the entire game focus was short and sweet. The game was tailored at first for never lasting longer then a lunch break. The updates eventilly added enough content. to take that to an hour lunch break. Shame digatail never followed it up, but the board/card game "eat electric death " has lots of the elements that would not fit into the computer games time frame.

Spaz is a long slow building game that has the plan fun of got to get all the bits and pieces. Gotta love it.

loved weird worlds. i wish it was available on steam.

i pretty much wont buy a pc game anymore unless its on steam just because its nice to have my whole library of games right there. should probably just buy it anyway... could lose hours to that game still.

i would really love a new game like Weird Worlds.
i mean i love SPAZ but.. well. kind a grindy at times, and when you finished one game - you preety much know all of it. the same elements will there - just, in a diffrent order.
WW when being non-grindy has a very small "elements" pool. so you wont everything and expirience all of it over one run, but after like 5-6 you know the whole game.
I would kill for a micsture of SPAZ and WW. And maybe Desktop Dungeon lol. I mean something casual, yet with depth but which i can uncover at my own pace and speed. sadly, the older you gets the less time you have for playing games :(

i am preety sure no such game exists now (not counting the oldies from 10-20 years ago) but please prove me wrong.
I would love to put my hands on something like this.

Weird Worlds is now featured on Indie Game Stand, as a bonus game for Data Jammers. You get Steam and Desura keys for Weird Worlds, Brainpipe and Data Jammers. So no more of that excuse, capt.cutthroat! ;)
