@Antario
eh, Not really worried about it to that extent. The underground world I'm shaping as I gather material is fun honestly.
I just keep filling chest with blocks while I sculpt that, then I recycle em on the surface :D

Nice Svinhuvud. I was looking to put a dome in the center of my fortifications once I get them done. Using the laser bridge and wireless transmitter mods I have a 1 lever wall that activates around everything at the moment. Been spending time clearing hills and building traps. All the massive stuff is underground. A whole world at bedrock below those, just started hauling the blocks up to build with. Got tired of making chest to store em.
After what will likely be a glass dome in the center, I'll prob build a labyrinth. Looks nice. :D
Just need to figure out what to do with my bridge for the large water span it crosses off to the right side of the pic. Prob rip down that V support and build arches. idk yet.

Also, Svinhuvud. make that labyrinth insane. Trip wire mod + http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic ... 2&t=247686

-edit-
might finish that city before spaz release after all, hehe

I've finished a full scale model of the Temple of Solomon, to the scale described in 1 Kings. Its pretty big, but rather small compared to the average minecraft creation. On the other hand, it is made entirely out of stone slabs, which took extra work but makes it look that much cooler. Considered making the entire temple mount, to scale, but that turned out to be a big job even by Minecraft standards. Though it is pretty much just a flat area, it would likely be the widest structure that I've ever seen in Mincraft.

I could put pics on facebook, but I think all other picture-hosting websites are evil, so I think we're kind of at a stalemate there.

Well, as you can see. I moved my buildings to my test map where I was testing mods I'm writing as well as many of the mods others wrote that were being tested as learning examples and well, I had to move them there cause I ended up building just an insane massive subway system complete with underground gardens and all xD

I've looked at a few solutions to generating the maps of underground. I'll figure something eventually.

As 1 Kings only describes the temple itself, everything else was based on this:

I have never played Minecraft. It must be really fun. Is it pretty easy to get started?

it's easy to play if thats what you mean, but the game doesn't really grab you at first, it's once you start to dive in and understand the creative freedom that it really takes hold.
