I've bought SPAZ a long time ago on Steam but I'm looking for a way to have some sort of a standalone version that runs from an USB key drive (so that I can play at work).

I was planning on buying the game again on Desura, but I'd like to know if they provide a serial key so that I can use the downloadable version from the dev's website?
Or is it possible to copy the desura version onto my usb pendrive?

Love this game so much, it's just too bad there is no Linux version (yet?) :P

Edit: oh wait, I just found out I could buy directly from MinmaxGames, so I guess that would solve the problem, right?

You are going to need internet connection the first time running it (checking the key). If you can get online for just a minute, it will work.

Also, if you are able to run Steam at work, you could just do that. You can even cloud the save files that way.

I can't run Steam at work, but I can run most standalone games from my USB key.

The question is, will a key bought on Desura allow me to use the version available here? (almost sure it will, just want to make it sure)
