I recently bought SPAZ... and I think is a really good and fun game...

However, from the first run I've noted that is running a little bit slow with a lot of audio stuttering... The game is playable, there are some random slowdowns but nothing that ruins the game experience... but the audio stuttering seems heavy... for example, the voices are impossible to understand...

I've been reading the forum and seems to be some speed problems with some high end machines...
In my case, as some people mentioned, seems that the app is setting affinity to only one core (I have an AMD Quad core running at 3.4Ghz) and that core is being used at 100% by SPAZ...

I've collected the log files and attached them to this post... I hope this helps the dev people to find something...

As I'm running a 64 bit OS, I'm attaching both dxdiag files.

My System Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965@3.4Ghz
Motherboard: Asus M4A79T-Deluxe
Ram: 4Gb DDR3
Video: Ati Radeon HD 5850, 2Gb GDDR5
Audio: MB Integrated Realtek HD Audio
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64

I think that's all if you need something else, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks a lot!

Hmm, your machine should eat SPAZ alive.

A few things to try.

DirectX compatibility mode. (bottom left in the launcher)

Sound drivers update.

Turn off anti virus (it may be scanning each audio file as it loads which would be bad)

I hope this helps, and please let us know if it does.

Blorfy, I've tried just the DirectX compatibility mode, and worked like a charm...

I attach the log file in case you wan't to have details on the difference...

Thanks a lot!
