So I reformated my machine today, now most drivers updated themselves and I was able to play World of Tanks for instance. When I tried to install SPAZ it did nothing. Now checking the logs showed the it was looking for open gl stuff and other bits and bobs. I installed my ATI drivers and it worked fine.

Now if I never went looking for the logs I would never have known as there is no error message regarding failed launches/installs.

Maybe something to add going forward, to be more user friendly.

And I posted this in Hardware when it should be Software, sorry! Please move if need be.

Ahh interesting, yes SPAZ requires updated video card drivers to run since the updated video card drivers will contain the openGL drivers needed.

By "you went to install and nothing happened", I assume you mean the installer worked, but when you clicked on the SPAZ icon, it failed to run?

I will look at adding an assert message to tell people to update their card drivers when this happens. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah once I had it installed, if I clicked on the spaz icon to run the app it would just do nothing. Thought I would tell you guys before you released it as it would cause some less experienced people issues!
